Introduction to Notifications

Notifications will work either in conjunction with tasks or independently. Send a notification to users to notify them of any system outages. The user will receive the notification by way of a popup (toast) message, or they will see via a notifications icon.

There are two types of notifications that can be created:

1. Information. For example, 'budgets can now be started' or 'budgets are locked and no further changes can be made'.

2. Warning. For example, 'Planned System Maintenance today at 9pm'.

Examples of notifications are:

• We are currently running the generator, please do not access xxxx.
• Budgets are due for approval.
• Budgets are now locked. No further changes can be made.
• Latest software updates applied.
• General Ledger data refresh complete.
• Your system Administrator has granted you access to Payroll.
• Restore point for General Ledger 2023 Budget created.
• The Budget 2023 will be locked at the end of the day.

To round out the notifications module/function a notifications widget can be added to dashboards.
