Budget / Budget Approvals

Assign users to be responsible for a particular budget area(s) and once a particular budget has been set to 'Complete' a notification is sent to the user advising them that budgets require approval.
Once the approver selects 'approved' or changes back to 'not started' the user receives a notification. The approver is set in the budget approval permissions.

When entering a budget you can use the Budget Approval option to see if a budget has been approved or not.

To change the approval status of a budget

Note

Ensure 'Budget Approval Status' has been ticked in configure.

  • In the navigation tree, right click on a layer.
  • Select Budget Approval, choose the appropriate budget status and the icon for the layer will change.

    budget started = Started - able to make changes to the budget.

    budget completed = Complete - marks the budget as read only.
    Setting the status to complete will send an email to the user advising that budget approval is required.

    budget approved = Approved - marks the budget as read only.
