Reporting Platform / Time Series¶
Time Series parameters can be constructed as a Financial year, Calendar year, Weekly Pay or Fortnightly Pay Time Series to form the Time Series portion in the Navigation Tree window and the drop-down menu.
Each Time Series entry must represent a valid period number in your MAGIQ Performance data.

Dynamic Time Series - Tick to.....
Number of Years - Select the number of years to display in the time series drop down.
Sequence Type - Select either Monthly, Weekley or Fortnightly to display.
Start Month - Only Applicable if 'Monthly' is selected from the 'Sequence Type' above. Select which month your time series will start from, for exmaple July being the financial year.
Below configuration is for bespoke datasets:

| Period Name | Enter a description for the period. |
| Period Number | Enter a valid period number. |
| System Date Range From | This option is available for non-standard Time Series. Where you can set system date ranges relevant to each period for this option to be activated, the Dataset Parameter 'Update Time Series with Computer Date' must be set to YES. NOTE: - Looks a computer date then lookups up this to know what period to display. |
| System Date Range To | This option is available for non-standard Time Series. Where you can set system date ranges relevant to each period for this option to be activated, the Dataset Parameter 'Update Time Series with Computer Date' must be set to YES. NOTE: - Looks a computer date then lookups up this to know what period to display. |
| Default | If you have two or more Time Series, tick the time series that is to be the default time series. |
| Locked | Tick any Period Names that you do not want users to select. Or you can still allow users to select a locked Period Name and have a warning message indicating the effect (see Time Series Locking Text in DataSet Parameters). |
| Hidden | Time series is hidden. |
Right click Menu Items¶
Cell Editor - this will bring up another window allowing you to enter, edit and view long text.
Insert - Create a new time series.
Copy - Copy an existing time series.
Remove - Delete a time series.
