A basic summary of how to clear your browser cache. This is particularly important immediately after an upgrade for each user - to ensure the old cached applications are cleared, and the new applications are downloaded locally.

Google Chrome

  • chrome://settings/clearBrowserData?search=cache
  • Tick the following options:
    • Cookies and other site data.
    • Cached images and files.

Alternatively,

  • Click the ellipsis in the top right hand corner.
  • Select More Tools.
  • Click Clear Browsing Data.
  • Choose the Advanced tab,
  • From the Time Range field, select All Time
  • Ensure the following are ticked:
    • Browsing History,
    • Download History,
    • Cached Images and Files,
    • Site Settings and
    • Hosted App Data.

Firefox

  • about:preferences#privacy
  • Cookies and Site Data
  • Clear Data
  • Tick the following options:
    • Cookies and Site Data.
    • Cached Web Content.

Microsoft Edge (Chromium)

  • edge://settings/privacy
  • Clear Browsing Data.
  • Choose what to clear.
  • Tick the following options:
    • Cookies and other site data.
    • Cached images and files.
